In this episode I started to hate Morgana a little bit.(like I did in " Queen of Hearts" ) I was so sadįor Arthur I think and that he thinks now magic is pure evil.Īnd I was sad for Merlin that he still has to keep secret who he really is.

I think there was no episode before that made me cry so muchĪnd It was just Uther (my least fave character) who died. This time those two ruled the episode for me.

Colin did such an amazing Job.Īnd Bradley omg, drunk Arthur LOL And the desperate, crying and grievingĪeat job as well. My friend and I laughed so much about Old Merlin. The episode was so Epic for Arthur and Merlin.Īrthur called Merlin "a loyal friend" that was so sweet! it was such a beautiful scene *_* loved it so much. The show is mainly about Arthur and Merlin and we know there are many great Arwen scenes to come. Especially Arwen fans are a little disappointed, I missed some more Arwen, too, but the little scene was so sweet even though the lines weren't very original *cough* Yes it is sad to see Merlin grow up and go through so many bad things that harden his heart, but I find it is also really enjoyable to watch his character develop in good and fun ways. Some didn't like this episode but I do. Which I think is great for his character. Getting stuff done is more important to him then being perfectly polite.

If you wanna see an example of what I mean, watch s4e7 when he sees Gwaine in his chambers. He’s more straight to the point with people and he takes less bulls*** from them. But I’m not saying this is a bad thing! He’s just less focused on pleasing people and more on his own goals. He will make a lot of witty comments, more so than the previous seasons.Ĥ)He’s a little less nice. He pulls little magic tricks just because he feels like it. He annoys Arthur and makes fun of him because he knows that he can. He has confidence in himself that he used to lack.(Which may have to do with Uther being gone).ģ)He is sarcastic and funny. He tells Arthur and other people what he truly thinks more often. But I feel like it’s the perfect amount for him to be emotional and have depth to his character while also being hilarious.Ģ)He speaks his mind more. He’s a bit sadder in this season than the previous I’d say. He has been through a lot and his life isn’t easy. He is a little depressed but not as much as season five. I’m gonna give an organized list about why he is iconic. I’m rewatching Merlin and I just wanted to talk about Merlin in season 4. Hi! I’ve never posted here before and I’m fairly new to Reddit so I hope I’m doing all of this right.
